Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Tiruchirappalli has entered into an academic partnership with the Government of Tamil Nadu, to implement the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program, involving in the selection of fellows, programme delivery, and governance. This Fellowship Programme is envisaged to be one of the prestigious programs in the public policy and service domain in the country, thus providing the opportunity for young professionals to work at the highest level of the Government of Tamil Nadu and experience the impact of policies on the day-to-day lives of state’s citizens. Besides creating optimized solutions for the problems and issues in the thematic areas prescribed for the year, the fellows are directly involved in monitoring and evaluating various schemes. With the cross-fertilization of innovative ideas and experience, the program aims to achieve an augmented practice of public policy and effective implementation of schemes. Through the Social Immersion Program (SIP) as a part of their curriculum, our MBA students will be attached to these fellows, to imbue the values of social inclusion and sustainability along with regular managerial expertise and skills, widening their career choices. This symbiotic association will lead to further engagements in the area of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) actively contributing to scholastic research advancements.
