Mr. Kabir Ahmed Shakir an alumnus of BIM 8 (1991 – 1993), CFO of Tata Communications, won this year’s ‘𝐈𝐌𝐂 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐’ at the 12th Indian Management Conclave 2022 held at Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode on 10th December 2022. 𝗛𝗼𝗻’𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝗺 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 , presented this prestigious award to Mr. Kabir Ahmed Shakir.

Before Tata Communications, Mr. Kabir was the CFO at Microsoft India, responsible for its overall finance leadership across all entities in India. He had spent over 23 years with Unilever in leadership roles across multiple geographies–International Funding Director in the Netherlands, Global Supply Chain Finance Director in the UK, CFO of the Home and Personal Care business in India, and Global CFO for the Skincare category in the UK. Currently, Mr. Kabir is on the Boards of STT Global Data Centres India Private Limited, Tata Communications Collaboration Services Private Limited, and Tata Communications (South Korea) Limited. 

It is yet another example of exemplary performance by our alumnus who made the institute proud. This award seeks to recognize a distinguished alumnus passing out from Indian B Schools making a significant impact on the industry and society.
