- M S – Mechanical Engineering, Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA (1984 to 1986)
- Visiting Scientist – Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA (1986 to 1987) – exposure to expert systems
- Visiting Engineer – Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick Coventry, UK (April 1987 to Nov 1987)- exposure to CAD/CAM modelling; Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM)
Ravi has over 33 years of experience in the field of Information Technology in the area of Enterprise Solutions, selling to a variety of Industries-predominantly Airlines/ Aircraft sector (16years), Financial services (7 years), Manufacturing/Process/Petroleum/ Distribution sector (10 years)
He was the Sales Head for Asia Pacific (earlier Europe & Middle East) business of Accelya – a solutions company solely focused on the Airline sector. Prior to the above, he held leadership positions as the India Country Manager for Transera ( a cloud based contact center solution provider) and as the Sales Director for Asia Pacific territory for Talisma – a leading CRM solutions provider. He was also in IBM for 8 years as a National Solutions manager for the Industrial Sector segment , Leader for the ERP solutions unit with focus on " End to End solutions " & Solutions Marketing Leader for the Production Industry segment. He was also in Digital (DEC) as the Business Development manager for Systems Integration & Services and was a Project Manager at ADA wherein he led the Development of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) applications for the LCA program.
Ravi has very high exposure to managing business in International territories mainly Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific, experience in Sales Management, Services/Solutions Selling, and Product Selling, Industry Marketing, Alliance/Partner management. He has exposure to Global Account Management & to applications of various technologies in a variety of industry segments – Airlines, Manufacturing, Financial Services, BPO/ITES . He is fairly networked in the industry both with professionals and clients – especially in the Airline sectors.
