Sriraman has more than 24 years of work experience that includes 2 years in industry and 22 years in academics. He teaches Financial Reporting and Performance Analysis (FRPA), Corporate Finance (CF), Corporate Valuation (CV), Design Thinking, Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship (DICE), Financial Planning and Wealth Management (FPWM) and Ethics and Corporate Governance courses at BIM. He had been a part of more than 100 Management Development Programs and offered training in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Design Thinking, Innovation, and General Management for the middle and senior level executives of various organizations that include JSW Steel, VA Tech Wabag, Ashok Leyland John Deere Construction Equipment Co, Xchanging Solutions Limited, Registrar of Cooperative societies of GoTN, TNPL, TAFE, Amco Batteries, Thirumalai Chemicals, BHEL, India Post, LIC, TAMIN, Textile Committee of GoTN, SIHM, IMTI and Indian Railways. Sriraman is in the academic boards and research committees of various educational institutions. Sriraman presented and published papers in national and international conferences, journals, and book chapters.

His areas of interest include 1) Financial Accounting/Reporting, 2) Corporate Finance, 3) Entrepreneurship, 4) Corporate Governance 6) Design Thinking, 7) Creativity and Innovation, 8) MSMEs and 9) HR and General Management related topics such as People Skills, Personality, Stress Management, and Leadership.
