Dr. Satyanarayana Rentala currently serves as an Associate Professor and Area Chair Marketing at Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli (Tamil Nadu). He also serves as Chair – Placement Committee and Chair – Alumni Relations Committee. He had earlier worked in the pharmaceutical industry in Brand Management function and subsequently joined academics. His research work got published in ABDC and Scopus listed journals. He was awarded Doctoral Travel Stipend to present his doctoral research work in Academy of International Business (AIB) Annual Meeting in June 2015. He has discussed his research work during the Paper Development Workshops organised by AIB Insights; Emerging Markets SIG and WAIB – held during AIB Annual Meeting 2024 held in Seoul in July 2024 and AIB Annual Meeting 2023 held in Warsaw in July 2023. He serves as a reviewer for many international journals published by Emerald and SAGE Publications.

His research areas include Sustainability in Marketing; UN SDGs; International Business (focus on Indian Pharmaceutical Industry) and Financial Inclusion. He had been ‘Session Chair’ during AIB Annual Meeting, 2015 and AIB India Chapter Annual Conference, 2013 hosted by Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and AIB South Asia Chapter Conference in January 2023. He is a Member of Academy of International Business since 2013 and a member of Indian Academy of Management since 2021.

He is a Certified Markstrat, Digital Markstrat and Circular Markstrat Trainer by StratX simulations, France. He had conducted MDPs for TAFE; Sundaram Clayton; Shanthi Feeds, BHEL, Hyderabad; BHEL, Trichy; Vijai Electricals, Hyderabad and Regency Ceramics, Yanam.
