Mr. T.R. Ramachandran is a 1989 batch alumnus of BIM Trichy. He has immense experience of over 30 years in the banking and financial services sector. Mr. Ramachandran was delighted to share his industry experience with the juniors from his alma mater. He enlightened the students of BIM36 and BIM37 with the advancement of the Fintech industry with the onset of digitalization and new methods of transaction. He also elaborated on the on power of fintech in transforming the rural economy and its pivotal role in country’s development. This session also covered varying industry demands of management graduates with an advancement of technology and the role of ethics in a business environment. Mr. Shriram Sanjeevi is the Vice President of Levista Coffee. With an immense experience of more than 23 years in retail management, Shriram shared his valuable insights on how the FMCG industry is coping with the pandemic times. He further elaborated on the role of rural markets in shaping the Indian economy post the Covid-19 pandemic and how brands have tweaked their product offerings to hitherto saturated markets like hygiene. Further he shared his insights on brand engagement and advertising. The session enlightened the students with holistic view of retail management of FMCG and the strategic steps taken by FMCG brands to improve their revenues post pandemic time.

Mr Prasad and Mr Shantanu addressed about how consumer behaviour changed across 8 spheres of life. They emphasized on the importance of a marketeer to understand how the consumer feels and building on what they expect. The students were exposed to the media capabilities and framework of digital marketing transformation. The duo further threw light on how digital marketing has evolved and advancement of AI and ML favouring the business entities to cut promotion cost.

He also gave a sneak peek of thoughts and insights on his book “The Indian Boss at Work”. In the positive connotation with the students, Mr. Steve explained the importance of Indianness at the workplace.

Mr. Venkatesh also expressed his career insights in the HR domain. The session further threw light on how an organization and HR professional acts with other functional domain to acquire and retain human talent.

Mr. Rahul with over 20 years of experience in FMCG domain, addressed about the key imperatives of building Big Brands and elaborated about the evolution of Santoor as a brand. He highlighted the importance of communicating the brand to the right target with proper market research and strategy.

Through this session, students learnt about the expectations of corporates from MBA students and how new graduates can solve the business problems. He further highlighted the opportunities and importance of being a new member in a team. He also expressed his thoughts on current business environment and positive aspects of Gen Z.
