Dr. Asit K Barma, Director, BIM, exchanged an MoU with Mr. N Muruganandam, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, in the presence of the Hon’ble Finance Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr. PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan, who did his Ph.D. from the SUNY, Buffalo and is acknowledged to be one of the best Finance Minister in the country. Through this MoU, Bharathidasan Institute of Management Tiruchirapalli will be the Academic Partner to conduct the Finance Department’s prestigious Internship Program across nine key functional areas like TN State Infrastructure Dev Board, Annual Budget, State and Central Finance Commission, Externally Aided Projects, Procurement, Loans, Audit, Treasury, and Resources. Prof Mahalingam Dhamodharan and Ms. Rita Harish Thakkar, IAS, Special Secretary, from BIM and the Finance Departments, respectively, joined the event. This MoU again vindicates BIM’s strong footprint in the Finance Area through its Financial Trading and Analytics Centre, interdisciplinary research, and outstanding faculty bandwidth. A small step toward our vision of making BIM a B-School creating a genuine impact on business and society.
