How can I obtain the Application form of BIM?
- The application form can be obtained only through Online Registration.
- Online registration can be done at www.bim.edu with an option to pay by Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / Demand Draft.
- Payment of Rs.1200/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates) can be made through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / Demand Draft. If payment to be made through Demand Draft, it should be drawn in favour of ‘Bharathidasan Institute of Management’ payable at Tiruchirappalli. Also enter the Demand Draft details while filling up the online application form.
Whether BIM accepts the scores of GMAT, XAT or any other similar test for Admission?
For 2025-2027 Admissions, BIM accepts CAT 2024 scores; or GMAT (January 2023 to January 2025) scores; or XAT 2025 scores
What are the important dates for BIM-MBA applications?
- Online Registration will begin on October 22, 2024. (9.00am)
- Last date for submission of BIM-MBA Application form thro’ Online 31st January, 2025 (10.00 pm)
When do I need to submit the original documents to support the data I have filled in the form?
The original documents are required during the interview process. Subsequent document verification also takes place post selection, once the course begins. Every achievement and extra-curricular activity mentioned should be substantiated with proof, absence of which at later stages of the admission process would invalidate the stated claim of the applicant.
What are all the specialisations offered by BIM?

Does BIM arrange for any educational loans?
- BIM is listed by State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India and Union Bank of India.
Pradhan Mantri Vidyalaxmi Scheme:
- A mission mode mechanism will facilitate and drive the extension of education loans to meritorious students who get admission in the top 860 quality Higher Educational Institutions (QHEIs) of the nation, translating to covering more than 22 lakh students every year.
- A special loan product will enable collateral free, guarantor free education loans; made accessible through a simple, transparent, student-friendly and entirely digital application process.
- Loan amounts up to ₹7.5 lakhs will be provided a 75% credit guarantee by the Government of India, to support banks to expand coverage.
- Furthermore, for students with up to Rs. 8 lakhs annual family income, the scheme will also provide for 3% interest subvention on loans up to Rs 10 lakh.
- This is in addition to the full interest subvention already offered to students with up to Rs. 4.5 lakhs annual family income.
- The Scheme is applicable for all Scheduled Banks/Regional Rural Banks (RRBs)/Cooperative Banks.

What is process for selection of students under 3 % Interest subvention scheme?
In a year, a maximum of One lakh student shall be eligible for 3 % interest subvention scheme during moratorium. If number of fresh applicants exceeds One lakh, a sequential method will be used as Below:
- Preference to candidate who got admission in a government HEI.
- Then preference given to technical/ professional courses.
- Then, preference to candidate who passed higher secondary (10+2) board examination from a government school.
- Next preference to candidate who passed secondary (10th standard) board examination from a government school.
- Next preference to candidate who passed higher secondary from a rural school.
- Next preference will be given to girl students.
What are the documents to be uploaded for PM-Vidyalaxmi scheme in portal?

What are the features of PM-Vidyalaxmi Portal?
PM-Vidyalaxmi portal is a unified portal that has the following features
- Information about PM-Vidyalaxmi and other Education loan Scheme of member Banks
- Facilitates students to apply for Education Loan from their preferred Bank.
- Option to students to select three Banks while applying Education Loan.
- Facility to students to apply for Interest subvention on PM-Vidyalaxmi portal.
- Facility for students to upload required documents for interest subvention.
- Status of the loan application available in Track Loan Application Tab.
- Online Grievances redressal mechanism.
How to apply for education loan on PM-Vidyalaxmi Portal?
- The Student shall register and login to Vidyalaxmi portal and fill-up the respective Education Loan Application Form by providing all the necessary details.
- After Completion of form and uploading of necessary documents student can select the Bank from where he/she wants to avail the loan facility as per his/her needs, eligibility and convenience.
- What is Two-page Education loan application form?
Two-page Education loan application is Common loan application form used for applying loan under PM-Vidyalaxmi scheme.
Is there any scholarship scheme available?
No, BIM does not offer any scholarships for the students.
Is there any reservation policy for BIM-MBA Admissions?
Yes. As per Government of Tamil Nadu Norms.
Is there any age limit to pursue MBA programme in BIM?
There is no age limit to apply for BIM-MBA.
Does BIM have any separate quota for NRI candidates?
No. BIM does not have any separate quota for NRI candidates.

Is it a residential program?
Yes, BIM-MBA is a two-year full-time residential programme for all students. All students should mandatorily reside on campus.
Is it necessary to have work experience to apply for the programme?
No, work experience is not mandatory for applying to this programme. But students with work experience are preferred.
What is the total intake of the BIM-MBA programme?
The intake of BIM-MBA programme for 2025–2027 batch is 120 students.
Is bringing a laptop necessary?
It is not compulsory to have a laptop. We have Computer centre near the hostels with necessary facilities. However, bringing your own laptop will make it easy for the student.
What is the geographical mix of the students at BIM?
Every batch at BIM shall have representation from more than 15 States in India. However, about 60% of the batch may be from five southern States.
What is done for Personality Development at BIM?

BIM-MBA also has various clubs / committees that complement classroom efforts. They provide a platform for all students to work on their personality in real-time.
How are the hostel facilities at BIM?
A 2BHK flat is allocated for four students which is pretty much spacious and convenient.
How is mess facility at BIM?
At BIM, Mess is run by MESSCOM, the mess committee with student representatives from both PGP1 and PGP2 batches. The committee ensures food is of good quality with a mix of both North Indian and South Indian dishes and a transparent system.
