Tiruchirappalli, June 14, 2023: Mr. Ravi Appaswamy has been unanimously appointed the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli. This appointment was needed following the demise of the previous Chairman, Mr. T Karumuttu Kannan. One of the most acclaimed personalities in the Real estate, Construction, and Hospitality industry, Mr. Ravi Appaswamy, is the Chairman of The Residency Group Hotels, India & Male and Appaswamy Real Estates Ltd. Mr. Ravi currently holds the charge of the Honorary Consul of Turkmenistan for Chennai & Tamil Nadu. The past President of CREDAI – TN Chapter, Mr. Ravi, received the Next Gen Entrepreneur Award from TiE, Chennai. Mr. Ravi has long been associated with the academic world, being a member of the Executive Council at Siv Nadar University and the longest-serving member on the Board of Governors, BIM.
The Board expressed confidence that Mr. Ravi Appaswamy, with his vast experience in the industry, can provide exemplary leadership to the institute. On assuming the responsibility, Mr. Ravi commented, ‘BIM is one of the country’s oldest and premier B Schools with great promise. We will set the benchmark against the best in the world, and I’ll work with the Board and BIM family to make BIM a world-class B School.’
