RoundSqr pacts with BIM, Trichy in AI/ML Space

Hyderabad/Trichy, December 1, 2021: RoundSqr, a global Digital Transformation solution provider headquartered in Hyderabad, signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), one of the oldest and premier B schools based in Tiruchirappalli, to further the practice of Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) in the country and create a more extensive knowledge/skill base in digital transformation space.

In October 2020, the World Economic Forum (WEF) released its third edition of the “Future of Jobs” report. It analyzes future trends of labor markets and provides essential information to guide employers and workers for forthcoming opportunities. As per the ‘Future of Jobs” 2020 report of WEF, the jobs of tomorrow would be in AI/ML space and will be the second-most jobs-in-demand in the next five years. The report further states that “As the economy and job markets evolve, new roles will emerge in technology fields, such as artificial intelligence—AI.”

The scope of the MoU include knowledge participation and sharing, co-creation of new knowledge, and developing joint projects.

On this occasion, Mr. Ram Manjeri, Chief Revenue Officer, RoundSqr, commented, “We are happy to take this important step which formalizes and deepens our existing and productive relationship with BIM. This partnership is in line with RoundSqr’s commitment to sharing its knowledge and experience with the Managers of tomorrow in the field of AI/ML.”

Expressing happiness over this MoU, Dr. Asit K Barma, Director, BIM, commented, BIM’s unique program architecture ensures integration of new technology and sustainable development goals with all the courses across areas. Sustainable living and new technology applications are going to influence the future of work. We want our students to be future-ready. We have made a significant investment in building a Real-time Contextual Marketing Lab, Centre for Operations Excellence, Financial Trading and Analytics Centre with Bloomberg and NSE Smart terminals, and Centre for SDG. We are excited about our partnership with RoundSqr to create knowledge and skill in AI/ML and Digital Transformation space. Our MBA students, doctoral scholars, and MDP participants from corporates will get to learn the industry best practices from experts in RoundSqr who have done that and been there. We also intend to jointly build various proof of concept with a deep impact on business and society.

About BIM, Trichy:

Established in 1984, Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli, is an autonomous school of excellence of Bharathidasan University, professionally run by an independent society. BIM offers two years residential MBA program approved by AICTE with specialization in Marketing, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Digital Business and Analytics; Ph.D. and Management Development /Faculty Development Programs. More than 4000 BIM Alumni spread around the globe are significantly contributing to corporates and society today. Former Union Minister Bharat Ratna Late Shri C Subramaniam was instrumental in setting up this B School. He was motivated by the idea of starting a School of Excellence in Management that would be organically linked with an industrial complex. His belief was that just as a medical school needed to be attached to a hospital to be effective as a teaching institution, a Management School had to be linked with industry. Accordingly, the institute was set up in collaboration with BHEL within its sprawling Tiruchirappalli campus.
