Dr Abhishek Kumar is a business leader turned academician with depth of experience and knowledge in both. He has led large businesses and teams in media (ABP Group) and banking industries (Yes Bank) and has worked across HR, marketing, strategy and leadership functions. His academic experience of more than a decade comprises teaching of courses on brand management, product innovation, leadership, design philosophies and philosophy of architecture. His doctoral work involved creation of a media brand personality scale. He has published more than 25 articles in peer reviewed national and international journals and has authored two books on management and leadership respectively. His recent publications include articles on the role of technology in making products malleable and the role of branding in making them rigid. He has also published several articles on philosophy of photograph, of intimate spaces, architecture of online classrooms and on heritage structures. He is currently working on conceptualizing product as an intersection of space, language and meaning. He presented his earlier work on phenomenological construction of product at the World Congress of Philosophy, Beijing, China in 2018.

He has deep interest in literature and continental philosophy. He spends much of his personal and professional time wondering about the sublime content in human endeavours and tries to find ways to theorize them for further study.
