Dr. Sujatha Mukiri delivers guest lectures in Business Communication Area
Dr. Sujatha Mukiri currently serves as Professor, Department of Communication at The English and Foreign Languages University, EFLU (A Central University established by an Act of Parliament), based in Hyderabad. She also holds the positions of Dean – School of Interdisciplinary Studies; Dean – Campus Planning and Development and Provost – Amrita Pritam International Hostel for Women.
Dr. Sujatha Mukiri has nearly 30 years of teaching experience at University and College levels in various programmes such as M.A. in Media and Communication; M.A. in English; B.A. in English; B.Ed. in English and M.Ed.
She is an experienced trainer in teaching English proficiency courses to students from different ethnic backgrounds. She had taught students from 100 different countries who have been attending International Training Programme at the EFLU for the past 20 years. She is an accomplished teacher-trainer seasoned in conceiving, designing, and teaching innovative courses in multi-disciplinary areas.
She had been deputed by EFLU for 2 years during 2007-2009 as one of the two experts to establish Cambodia-India Centre for English Language Training (CICELT) in Cambodia as part of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India Project.
She is a member of various University Committees and the Chief Editor of International Journal of Media Studies published by EFLU. She also serves as a Member, SPARSH (A Committee on Sensitization, Prevention and Redressal of Sexual Harassment on the Campus at EFLU during 2015-17).
Dr. Sujatha Mukiri published several research papers and books in international and national journals. Her research interests include Feminist Discourse in Literature & Media; Gender and Media Studies; Communication Studies and Cultural Diversity.
